New Link: It's on our links page, but we wanted to shout about a link to a site we care a lot about. The Mark W. Graham Foundation is a nonprofit organization that honors the legacy of Mark W. Graham, a fallen soldier who was also a role model; a husband, son, brother, uncle, and treasured family member; and a young man who brought laughter, smiles, and joy to those who knew him. The foundation offers support to military families in crisis and to young people of outstanding characther. We invite you to visit: The Mark W. Graham Foundation

Welcome to the Blue Merlot website!

Thanks for stopping in. We've been having fun (as usual) putting together goodies for your enjoyment, enlightenment, and edification.

A few words about the site. It's a work in progress, and we also believe in things that are easy to navigate. Thus, you will find no spinning-and-whirling flash intros to skip. In honor of our Friends With Slow Connections, we didn't stream the music, either. You'll have to click on a link in songs to actually listen. Hey, it's exercise, and we're very health conscious in this band (yeah, right). Besides, that empowers you, our esteemed Web Visitor, to choose what you want to listen to. What a concept, eh?

Yes, we have a few "radical" concepts: Excellence in audio fidelity, intelligent songwriting, and liner notes on our CD (including lyrics in a readable format). Go figure!

We hope you'll enjoy the visit. We have info on the band, audio, recording, and other fun things. As much as we don't like MP3s (we think they are a communist plot to get people used to poor sound quality), we do have a few on the site because hey, what good is a band's website if you can't hear what we sound like? Note that these MP3s were converted from the high speed (88.2K bitrate) masters. But if you really want to give your ears a treat, get a copy of our debut CD, Blue Merlot. You can order it securely online or visit one of our local outlets. Scroll on to find out where!

Our debut CD, Blue Merlot, is now available at Kimberly's (Main Street, New Iberia), Music Vision (New Iberia), Music Machine (Eunice), Abbeville Record Shop, and Barnes & Noble (Lafayette), cdbaby.com as well as other outlets. Need it shipped? Order securely through cdbaby.com using the link below, or email us your name & phone number and we'll be in touch to make secure ordering arrangements. Please do not email credit card information to us directly.

We're happy for you to enjoy listening here on our website and on our myspace page: www.myspace.com/bluemerlotband. You can also listen to more songs on our CD Baby page: www.CDBaby.com/BlueMerlot. We hope you'll want to enjoy the full audio fidelity of the physical CD; the liner notes, artwork and booklet are fun, too. If you love music, support the products of indie musicians! Thanks!
